The President of SDYH, Eleni Polychronaki, explained: “The new Board of Directors and I, as the president of the historic “Chania Health Runners Association”, are particularly happy to be organizing the Crete Marathon for the 10th time in 2026. This year we have started the preparation of the event earlier than any other time and we aspire to have a record participation of over 3,500 runners in all events. The newly renovated and attractive routes of the Crete Marathon are an ideal opportunity for athletes to set new records.
